Internship Report: Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy

Another great Internship is currently completed by one of our fellow students in Berlin. Frances Hock, 4th semester GM, is currently working at the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (German: Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie) in the department of “Key Questions of Structural Policy”.

According to Frances “the most interesting aspect to the Internship is the examination of contemporary problems/opportunities of the German Economy, such as ‘Industry 4.0’ or the ‘Energy Transition’.” Frances appreciates the experience of seeing how economical, infrastructural and demographical trends are detected and translated into strategies to seize the market potential of the German economy.
She says that “The team is great. There are many other Interns – most of them are currently doing their Master-Degree and some are already done with their University-Degrees.” Outside the office “Berlin is an amazing and exciting city.”
